just as when you thought you were raised up in the Philippines is enough for you to learn the native language and use it correctly, i still find it hard to play with the verbs esp when it comes to tenses... I do understand Tagalog -- but the weird thing is, I always use words incorrectly. :( bakit kaya? sigh.

words/phrases and sentences i found interesting (after all the "madla people" corrected me -thanks to them) which are being used by some fellow Fil-Chi peeps...

1. tataas na ako ( what is more correct? tataas? - to levitate? or aakyat - to climb the stairs?)
2. bitones (buttons which is butones)
3. karayong (needle which is karayom)
4. tala (star? i thought it is a note?)
5. tulok (sleep which is tulog pala)
6. turuin mo sakin (ituro mo sakin)
7. basahan mo nga ito (basahin mo nga ito, gosh, but we say basahan mo nga ako.. i feel the thought is just the same)
8. hapunan (i thought it is gabihan, kasi agahan, tanghalian, and __ :umaga, tanghali at gabi -- weird analogy)
9. tulakin mo ako (itulak mo ako)
10. titinginin ko (titingnan mo nga -- diba ang future tense, you double the first syllable and add in sa huli? hay.. why is it so complicated?)
11. tulog: tumulog-tumutulog-tutulugin
12. tingin: tiningin-tinitingin-titinginin

perfecting a language isn't easy after all.. :( but im stil looking forward to learn new things. :p
